What My Family Is Doing for Tick Season

Absolutely NOTHING…. this is why…..

There’s a lot of fear going around on this topic so lets break it down.

This is always a hard subject to approach, with lots of controversy.

But the amount of fear being pushed right now is absurd. When there is so much fear around one topic - I always stop and ask why? There must be more to it!

So I hope this helps break it down a bit and counter the fear out there.

We've been taught: tick bite → bacteria → Lyme. But that model doesn't fully explain what we actually see.

Let’s be VERY clear, the symptoms are VERY real and everyone's experience is real. I am not dismissing that!

But: not everyone bitten gets sick. Symptoms vary widely. Timelines don't always match. If one bacteria, one cause (tick) was the cause — outcomes would follow a consistent pattern and be predictable. But they're not.

So we have to ask, what else is going on?

This is where we become curious. Not dismissive of the symptoms or experience, but questioning and open.

From a GNM (biological/nature) lens… these symptoms follow specific conflict patterns — not random infection.

Symptoms labeled "Lyme" often include: rash, fever, chills, fatigue, joint + muscle pain, neurological symptoms, heart palpitations, brain fog.

A common list for other labels out there. Which is why it's often called the "Great Imitator."

Lyme is often called "The Great Imitator" because symptoms resemble: chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, MS, autoimmune conditions.

But if one bacteria was the cause… why does it mimic so many different conditions? Why do so many labels have the same symptoms?

From a biological lens: these aren't random diseases. They are similar symptom patterns being labeled differently.

So let's look at what those patterns actually are.

Self-devaluation conflict (feeling "not enough" or physically broken) → joint pain → muscle pain → arthritis (example: injury, burnout, criticism, loss of ability)

Motor conflict (feeling stuck, unable to escape) → weakness → tremors → neurological symptoms (example: trapped in a situation, relationship, job)

Separation conflict (loss of connection, wanting to or not wanting to separate from something or someone) → skin symptoms → sensitivity

"Feeling soiled" conflict ("this feels wrong / violating") → rashes, irritation

Healing phase (after stress/conflict or situation resolves) → fatigue → fever → brain fog

Shock / fear conflict (Diagnosis, bite, shocking news) → heart palpitations → dizziness

Our body always wants to keep us safe. Our brain remembers moments, smells, food, song, and environment that reminds us of the situation — these are called tracks/triggers. Where our body goes into another biological response to keep us safe.

Tracks keep us in an unresolved healing = chronic.

The tick bite? It can act as a trigger. But a trigger doesn't mean cause.

Bacteria have gotten a bad rep. We are more bacteria than we are human cells. We are surrounded by bacteria as is nature.

Bacteria are present, but not the cause. They support the body during repair. They are the helpers, the clean-up crew.

Tests show: presence. But not: cause, timing, why symptoms differ. They are inconclusive and vary wildly among people.

So the question shifts from: "What did I catch?" to: "What is my body responding to?"

We've been taught to fear what's outside of us. But when you understand this… something shifts.

You stop fearing your body and start listening to it.

We are always receiving messages. Often they compound over time, stacking on top of each other until they can't be ignored - until we have to listen.

This doesn't dismiss symptoms or lived experiences.

It reframes it.

From something to fear… to something to understand.

The body isn't random. It's not broken.

And it isn't working against you.

It's responding to life around you. Which means you are able to respond back.

Puts you back in charge — and that's a powerful place to be.

We are fearfully and wonderfully made! Nature is not attacking us. We are nature. All created with purpose and intention.

We have been commanded to not be afraid. So when fear does come in ask yourself where it’s coming from and seek the truth.

Faithfully Fearless
